NEW FUNDING – S.I.S.G. Charity (Ayrshire)

S.I.S.G. (Sensory Impaired Support Group) Charity based in Ayrshire have just reeived news that they have received 3 years grant funding of £118.363 from the Big Lottery for their new development project.  The name is the new project is “Reducing Loneliness & Developing Management of Stress for Older People with Sensory Loss”.

With this funding the charity hope to reduce levels of Loneliness and help individuals Manage the Stress associated with sensory loss by providing a number of free services such as “Managing Your Hearing Loss Group Training” – held fortnightly in Troon, Galston, Largs and Ayr. / “Connections Cafes” – held monthly in Irvine & Prestwick. / “Hearing Loss Follow up Workshops” – held in Crosshouse & Ayr Hospitals. / “Sudden Hearing Loss Early Intervention” – one to one service. / “Sensory Stations” – held in 14 towns and villages throughout Ayrshire each month, and the set up of a “Sensory Loss Working Group”.
