Evaluation of Services:

To ensure we are achieving our objectives we carry out an Annual Outcome Plan where we send out questionnaires to all our service users, to help evaluate the difference our services make to hearing impaired people throughout Ayrshire.

Some of the comments we received during 2008 were as follows:

"My Befriender tells me about rights and services available to me "

"Assistance with hearing aid is a great benefit to me, it means I am not so isolated "

"My social interaction has improved as I have joined more community groups and am now more comfortable on holiday "

"I feel much more confident now and manage very well wearing my hearing aids "

"I no longer have to travel on 2 buses to Ayr to get new batteries for my hearing aids"

"I would certainly recommend the service to other people as the staff are so friendly and so helpful "
